The press release below is very heavy on concerts and events, but the info applies to theatres looking for specialized rigging as well: Stage Technologies is expanding their U.S. rental services division, bringing it on par with the rental services division in the U.K. This means that getting your single- or multiple-axis control solutions and flying rigs is now easier than ever. They have also released preliminary dates for their 2012 training schedule.

Stage Technologies expands US rentals and launches 2012 training dates

Stage Technologies is expanding its US rental services division to increase the availability of its automation systems across the region, now offering the same extensive rental products and services already available from our UK branch. US customers can now request single-axis and multiple-axis control solutions plus market-leading point hoists as well as performer flying rigs and plug-and-play control cabinets for theatre productions, rock tours and concerts. The same equipment can also be used to fly remote cameras for gigs, TV and film. Recently Stage Technologies provided the performer flying rig used on Taylor Swift’s Speak Now tour in the US and will continue with the tour as it heads to Australia and New Zealand in 2012.

In the past 24 months Stage Technologies’ rental systems have also featured on numerous projects in Australia, Belgium, Qatar, Hong Kong, Mexico and Sweden - Flying P!nk on her last two tours, providing a 21-axis flying system for the Pan American Games Opening Ceremony in Guadalajara and flying Kevin Spacey during the Old Vic’s touring production of Richard iii to name just a few. Stage Technologies’ rental equipment has also featured in multiple motion pictures including Sherlock Holmes, Pirates of the Caribbean and Mission Impossible.

Stage Technologies’ Business Development Manager Gemma Guy said “We’re very excited to offer our US customers the same products and services that the company has supplied extensively around the rest of the globe. The demand for automation worldwide is huge and is only going to grow in this country. We’re pleased to offer our expertise and support to creative teams to bring their designs to life – no matter how ambitious their plans might be.”

Both the USA and UK branches of Stage Technologies stock equipment for immediate availability for concerts, theatres, Nightclub acts, trade shows, TV and Movies.

Stage Technologies’ USA office is also launching its US training schedule for 2012. The popular three-day training course – ‘An introduction to automation and the eChameleon suite’ – will be run in February, May and October 2012 and is aimed at programmers, operators and other professionals interested in learning the features of eChameleon suite. eChameleon is the common software platform across all Stage Technologies control consoles and the course provides opportunity for hands-on learning with the software including features, functionality and setting up and plotting a show. The course takes place at the Cirque du Soleil Training Center in Las Vegas.
