The Long Reach Long Riders finished their 2,000-mile (and 52 nautical knot!) journey on August 11 in Seattle, Wash. The charity motorcycle ride was their ninth annual outing and this year journeyed through the Pacific Northwest to raise money for Behind the Scenes. This year the ride had seven Harleys, six Hondas, four BMW’s and two Suzukis—along with two chase cars and two ferries. You can still support the ride and Behind the Scenes, they’re accepting donations until August 31!
The Long Reach Long Riders Complete their 9th annual Charity Motorcycle Ride.
The Long Reach Long Riders (LRLR) are very happy to announce the successful completion of their 9th annual charity motorcycle ride. The ride, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes program, started in Seattle, Washington on August 4th and ended in Seattle on August 11th. To date in 2012 the LRLR have raised over $45,000.00
The ride this year included 19 bikes, 2 chase cars and 2 ferries ( a first for the LRLR). There were 7 Harleys, 6 Hondas, 4 BMWs and 2 Suzukis.

The ride, which was dubbed Ninth by Northwest by ride coordinators Greg Williams and Alice Neff, covered over 2,000 land miles and 52 nautical knots. In a new development, two chase car drivers got some motorcycle time during the ride. Eddie Raymond rode Jonathan's Honda Shadow, Sheryl's Harley Sportster, Bill's Honda VTX and Greg's Harley Electra Glide. Rebecca Walters caught rides with Drew, Greg, Kate, Phil, Dennis and Moe.
